BHOLA POLITICAN - NOT A LEADER

A RECENT NEWS ITEM

"Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani reportedly felt fairly miffed when informed at the eleventh hour that the until recently extremely healthy Mian Nawaz Sharif would be missing out on the COAS security briefing ‘due to bad health".

"Only a day before this critical security briefing by top military bosses to the top political leadership of the country, a smiling and cheerful Nawaz Sharif had come all the way from Lahore to address a press conference at the Punjab House Islamabad to convey his “serious reservations” over the Kerry-Lugar Bill".

---------------------

Bhola baadhsah! He is a politician, not a national political leader. Politicians pursue their personal interests following their myopic vision. Leaders prefer national interest. Attending this COAS security breifing would have given him a great opportunity to raise his point of opinion on certain sensitive issues.

Kerry - Lugar Bill does have its implications but national security issues are also equally important to be discussed for a consensus of opinion. Avoiding to attend such a gathering means the absentees have no interest in national issues.

If (allegedly) former Mr. Ten Percent spends most of his time abroad, Bhola is not behind in following him. He spent 28 days abroad while the Motherland needed them both to negotiate certain issues and take bold decisions.

He has missed the bus! (Offsider)
