Positive Thinking ... a blessing or otherwise?

Being stuck up in the dark cul-de-sac of uncertain circumstances is very painful indeed, particularly when friends abandon you, fate is annoyed with you, your loved ones do not understand your state of mind but not as agonizing as when you boast of being a positive thinker. Positive thinking is a great blessing but in disguise.

You try your level best to collect all the remaining energies and compose yourself to resist every negative thought and feeling pretending that all is well with you, though deep inside a worst battle continuously goes on.

Positive thinking is in fact a process, not a tool itself. However, it acts like fuel on fire. It requires a lot of self-composure, concentration, focused thoughts, strong will power to not lose the battle at any cost.

It's all an internal struggle and nobody, even your near and dear ones, could ever realize the intensity of anguish that you experience. Without understanding the reality of positive thinking by others there are good chances that relations may spoil and friendships may break up. At least I have personally paid a high price for being a positive thinker.

On the other hand deep rooted faith and conviction in your beliefs are the tools that help you to achieve your targets while positive thinking keeps your footing firm and stable in the stormy weathers.

In spite of all the negative aspects, I am still an advocate of positive thinking. Let us have your opinion on this.

  1. Different people may discover various aspects of positive thinking depending on the circumstances, understanding and applying techniques of positve thinking and strength of their own conviction and belief in the effectiveness of positive thinking.

However, I would suggest my visitors to grab a copy of "MIND POWER" by Anthony Robbins. It may change your pattern of thinking, behaviour and ultimately your lifestyle.

I've got ridden of my chronic migraine, a truly monstrous headache, and have been resisting heart-attach, diabetese, ulcer, hypertension and depression for the last 20 months using the power of positive thinking without taking any medicine.

  2. But it is a bit difficult to apply positive thinking practically as you have described.

Anyway thank you for suggesting Mind Power by Anthony Robbins. I will study it and let you know of my comments.

  3. I don't believe in positive thinking. It is only self cheating. It it has any effectiveness why can't doctors and psychologists use it to treat their patients.

Please explain if possible how you have used positive thinking to get rid of migraine? It is unbelievable for me to accept it.

  4. I have personal experience of the effectiveness of negative thoughts. If negative thinking can work, why can't positive thinking.

The subject needs to be discussed in depth.

  5. Yes, it is true that being positive thinker means facing a lot of trouble from family and friends becuz they don't understand the positive thinker's state of mind.

He may be engaged in an inner battle to resist very strong negative thoughts and like to be left alone for some time but people around him may take it as an attempt to escape from realities.

Positive energy does work as does negative energy. I've also got results from it.
